Something From Nothing
There have been seasons in my life when I couldn't see the way forward.
Everything felt uncertain.
The path wasn't obvious.
And yet, when I look back, I can see that I was being gently guided all along.
This photograph reminds me of those seasons. At first glance, it appears to be nothing more than a landscape. Bush. Light. Texture.
But if you remain still... If you keep looking... Something extraordinary begins to flow. Belief.
I wonder how often life is like that.
How often we believe there is nothing there because we cannot yet see what God is quietly revealing.
Sometimes the answer isn't absent.
Sometimes our eyes simply need a little more time.
As a wildlife photographer, I've learned that the most extraordinary moments are rarely forced.
They are received.
And perhaps our lives are much the same.
Perhaps God is creating something from what feels like nothing.
Perhaps He is preparing a path we cannot yet recognise.
Perhaps He is asking us to trust before we fully understand.
I don't believe I'm simply photographing wildlife.
I believe I'm photographing reminders.
Reminders that hope is often hidden just beyond our first glance.
If this image speaks to you, perhaps it's because you're standing in a season where you need to trust that something beautiful is already unfolding—even if you can't quite see it yet.
