Trust the Journey
Life rarely unfolds the way we imagined.
There are unexpected turns, closed doors, seasons of waiting, and moments when the path ahead disappears from view.
I've experienced that journey myself.
As a bush pilot, life once seemed full of adventure and certainty. Then came family, responsibility, cancer, and seasons where I questioned what lay ahead. Looking back, I realise something remarkable.
The journey was never random.
The difficult seasons shaped me.
The unexpected detours taught me. And the moments I would never have chosen became some of the most meaningful.
Through wildlife photography, I have come to believe that many of life's greatest reminders arrive quietly. An elephant appearing through morning mist. A lion cub resting in complete trust. A butterfly emerging at exactly the right moment.
These encounters remind me that we don't always need to understand the path to trust the One who leads us. I don't believe I'm simply photographing wildlife.
I believe I'm photographing reminders. Reminders that hope is often found in the waiting.
That purpose is revealed one step at a time. That God is still guiding us, even when we cannot yet see where the road is leading. If one of the photographs in this film speaks to you, perhaps it is carrying the reminder you need today.
Choose the image that stays with you.
Allow it to become a daily reminder to trust the journey—even when you cannot yet see the destination.
